Have had to open another blog to be able to get back on..... to say I am annoyed???????
The story is this. I first thought that blogger had done something daft. Then, because my pooter is run by Opera, I thought that after an update, it had done something and wasn't letting me post photos, so I tried to get onto my blog using Firefox ... and it worked!!!! Once... :(
Son and heir had a look and he, being a programmer, got in "the back way" and found that it IS blogger being a silly sod!!! Well, there isn't anything that even he could do, so I am stuck with the ruddy nonsense that is blogger.... and now I have another blog. How long will this one last, I wonder? On my sons searching, he found the blogger forum and there are loads of complaints about what they are doing and especially with Opera!! Am so pleased that I am not the only one, but it hasn't lessened the annoyance. Stupid, stupid blogger!!!!!
The photo above is the outer box of the special "card" I made for one of our nieces wedding ... yesterday. It was made from Centura Pearl ivory and the topper is a Hunkydory one.
As you open the box, this is the outer "page" of the box card. The initials are A and E over two intertwined gold rings cut out using my Joy (Cameo). I edged the whole thing with straight line peel offs. The colour for the wedding was a tulip deep pink with a lime green.
The page, to be written on, is a scan of part of the invitation... keeping the theme going! Inside the box are some "silk" (?) tulips and as I couldn't get the colour I wanted, I bought very pale cream ones and dyed them using Inktense blocks and a sable brush. One or two other little "flowers" were coloured using the same method and to complete, I added a couple of organza bows. On the acetate front I put their initials and the rings again....
This box was also made using Centura Pearl in ivory and the page was Centura Pearl paper. I lined the box with a slightly deeper shade of ivory glitter card.
Gave the keepsake to them last evening and the couple seemed very impressed and stated that they "loved it"! They also said that they loved the three tier wedding cake that I made for them too ... did not decorate it, just made the cake!
Now, let us hope that I can get back on here again... whenever I want to... so fingers crossed!
Thanks for stopping by and thanks to all of you who stopped by my other blog.
Luv ya awl...!!!!!!!!!
